Are you ready to make a difference? At the Bragg Creek Community Association, we believe in the power of leadership to drive transformation and unite our community.

Why Leadership Matters: Effective leadership isn’t just about guiding; it’s about inspiring and creating a lasting impact. As a leader on our Board of Directors or by spearheading exciting events like the Spirit of Christmas, you have the opportunity to shape our community’s future and bring innovative ideas to life.

Are you passionate about:

  • Developing new community initiatives?
  • Organizing unforgettable events?
  • Bringing people together to achieve shared goals?

If you have a vision and a commitment to making a real difference, we want to hear from you! Your leadership could be the spark that ignites change and fosters a stronger, more connected community.

The Bragg Creek Community Association is Recruiting Board Directors!

The BCCA is actively recruiting passionate community members to serve on the Board of Directors for a 2-year period (Oct 2024-2026). If you want to make positive changes in Bragg Creek, be more involved in the community, and meet new people, this is for you!

Our Mission: The BCCA and the Bragg Creek Community Centre support the greater Bragg Creek area through programs, events, and services that build community responsibility and sustainability to current and future generations.

Our Vision: Our community is connected and engaged through our welcoming and vibrant community Centre.

What does the board do? The BCCA Board is a working board that oversees the management and affairs of the association including strategic planning, budget, policies and committee oversight.

Experience Required? None! Prior experience as a Board Director is not necessary. We are an open and welcoming team, willing to help a new recruit learn the ropes. However, experience with event planning, fundraising, or volunteer management would be particularly beneficial for 2024 and 2025.

Expectations: The Board is recruiting for Board Directors to fill a 2-year term (ending October 2026). Board Directors are expected to meet once per month and devote several additional hours per month to a topic or project that interests them. Examples include event planning, sustainability projects, fundraising, and facility maintenance.

What is in it for you?

  • Opportunity to make positive change in your community
  • Opportunity to enhance your leadership and communication skills
  • Exposure to community issues.
  • Experience in policy development and organizational governance
  • Opportunity to participate in the long- and short-term strategic direction of the Bragg Creek Community Association and the Community Center.
  • Opportunity to meet new people in the community – neighbors, local businesses, local organizations, health care providers, and more.
