Bragg Creek’s Winter in the Woods festival, hosted by the BCCA, will be returning for its 4th year on February 1st, 2025! It is our annual celebration of all things winter, with a specific focus on fundraising for our beloved outdoor rink (the ODR). We will have both on-ice and off-ice events for the whole family. Why Winter in the Woods Matters
Thanks to proceeds from the past three festivals and a grant from Rocky View County, Bragg Creek Community Association (BCCA) resurfaced the asphalt at the Bragg Creek Outdoor Rink (ODR) last summer! This upgrade means smoother ice in winter and a better surface for summer sports, like basketball and ball hockey.
This year, they’re aiming to raise $15,000 to bring even more improvements: a Zamboni and upgraded dressing room facilities.
Join the Fun with Chuck-a-Puck at the One of a Kind Outdoor Rink!
Chuck-a-Puck is a fun and exciting raffle with a twist! Here’s how it works:
- Purchase a raffle ticket and receive a puck featuring the logo of the event’s overall sponsor and the business sponsor where you bought your ticket.
- On Saturday, February 1st, at 7:00 PM, head to the Bragg Creek Centre’s One of a Kind Outdoor Hockey and Skating Rink with your puck.
When the command is given, everyone will throw their pucks onto the rink, aiming for the center ice marker. The three pucks closest to the center ice dot will win cash prizes!
30 Last minute pucks will be sold at the event by the BCCA. Not in advance
